Below are ideas on what you can do during Lent. Most have decided on what to do or give up during lent. Here are a few other special items for your calendar === St. Joseph's Table === - Sunday March 23, 11a - 7pm, In STLM's Hall What is it? (some of you have asked) We'll, It's an opportunity to share STLM's hospitality with our own parishioners, friends, neighbors and some less fortunate families. ALL ARE WELCOME, Invited & Encouraged to Participate. It is a fund raiser for All Life Charities. - MORE INFO: It's a "Come as you are", whenever you can, meal opportunity in the Italian Tradition. Spaghetti, Salad & Garlic Bread will be the staples (ANY donation accepted). Then, top off your meal with Meatballs, Sausage, Desserts, etc. for an additional donation. Wine & Soda, will also be available for purchase. Some light entertainment may strolling around the room and in between the tables for your dining pleasure. - PLEASE plan to stop by with your family, share a meal & visit. ** ALSO ** They are gearing up to serve about 1000 people throughout the afternoon & evening. Think about helping in the afternoon and eating in the evening (or vise-versa)! === Picking Oranges === Target Date: Sat 3/22 in the Afternoon A very nice lady in Torrance (near the airport) has an enormous tree with Hundreds (may be thousand?) of oranges just about ready to be picked. The oranges will be donated to the less fortunate. Q? - Do you have (or can you get) an long pole & basket "Orange Picker"? Some REALLY TALL ladders would also help. Children (with their own supervision) and Families welcome. A few hours is all that it should take with the right crew! There are a few "shipping containers" and another structure that needs to be 'freshened up'. We are working on getting donations of paint and supplies. Can you help?
